Dahlia Seeds from Hillara Ice (open pollinated) x 5

$5.00

Growing dahlias from seed is exciting. A plant grown from seed will not grow true to the parent plant.  It will share some characteristics, but you will never know which other dahlias grown nearby have contributed the pollen to create your seeds.  Open pollinated means the bees have done the work of spreading the pollen around.

Each of these 5 seeds will create a truly unique variety.  A dahlia plant grown from seed will produce tubers over the growing season.  You can then keep the tubers to grow the same plant again in following seasons. (Dahlias grown from tuber will return true each season.)

See the Growing Tips page on this website for guidance on getting your seeds started.

These seeds have been grown, selected, dried and saved from a garden in Red Hill Victoria where more than 50 other dahlia varieties have also been growing.

Hillara Ice is a collarette dahlia with bright white petals and florets and a happy yellow centre that the bees love. This dahlia is a prolific bloomer.

Postage is to anywhere in Australia except WA, NT and Tasmania.
